Police-Community Partnerships

Our 2010 5th grade students particpated in the Chose Not to Lose program at Deer Creek School this year and have successfully completed the program this month. Such topics as bulling, prescriptions drugs, sexting and Internet Safety were just a few of the topics covered. Tenantive plans for graduation are planned for May 14th.

The St Francis Police Department Citizens Academy will get first hand experience in firearms training on the range at MATC/South Campus this Thursday evening. They will review the Departments Deadly Force Policy, and our commitment to safety. This will be followed by hands on firing of our Departments standard sidearm at targets down range. Graduation is set for May 19th.

The St. Francis Police Department will be sponsoring MOVIE-NIGHT June 11th. This event will be held at Vretenar Municipal Park located at 4224 S Kirkwood Ave. St Francis. There will be food and refreshments and we won't forget the popcorn. Come join us in this family oriented event. Watch for further notices.

It may be a few months away, but the St. Francis Police Department has their National Night Out (NNO) planning in full swing. Having took first place in the Nation last year, our Community Resource Officers are working even harder this year. Their is a lot of planning and work that goes into this event. Watch for us on August 4, 2010 for another great celebration at this communtiy event.
