2014 St. Francis Police Department Citizen Academy

The St. Francis Police Department will be hosting its 7th Citizen Academy class this year. The first class will be starting on Wednesday, March 19th. The Citizen Academy will run for 9 weeks on Wednesday nights from 6:00pm-9:00pm and is held in the lower level meeting room of City Hall.

The St. Francis Citizen Academy is designed to give participants a first hand look at the St. Francis Police Department. Some of the topics covered during the course will be Criminal investigations, O.W.I. enforcement, Traffic laws, Patrol procedures, and Courtrooms procedures to name a few. Participants will be able to do a ride along with an officer and will have hands on experience with some of the functions and duties that officers perform. There is no cost to participate in this program.


The requirments for the Academy are:

Completed application

18yrs of age or older

Live, work or own property in St. Francis

No Criminal record

Valid driver's license (if you drive)
