Public Forum:
Echoing the positive comments of Terri Pawlarczyk in Public Forum in the May 31st edition of South Shore NOW, regarding her participation in the Cudahy Police Academy program, I just completed the similar experience with the St. Francis Police Department.
My fellow "students" and I also were blessed with a fine program and exceptional instructors and presenters, principally patrol officers Shane Czerniakowski and Dimitri Kamolov, plus several of their colleagues. We learned a lot about the important work of the sworn officers and support staff of the SFPD, lead by energetic Chief Brian Kaebisch.
Shane and Dima kept things fun and interesting. We were in the fifth such class and I highly encourage my fellow St. Francis residents (also open to those working in the city) to apply to participate in future programs. It was very much worth my time, and we had a great concluding evening together on May 30.
SFPD, you rock!
