A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for stealing an unlocked BMX bicycle at Sheridan Park on July 27. The bike had been planted and was being watched by Cudahy police. A 13-year-old boy was arrested for trying to steal the pegs off the bicycle.
A cell phone, purse, cash and personal identification were taken from a vehicle at Bally Total Fitness, 2525 E. Layton Ave., on July 28. Loss is estimated at $300. Damage to the driver-side window is estimated at $150.
A 30-year-old Cudahy man is facing a charge of substantial battery for striking another man in the face in the 3400 block of East Layton Avenue on July 27. The victim suffered multiple fractures to his face.
A 30-year-old Cudahy man was cited for battery and disorderly conduct for striking a man in the face and chasing him with a wooden board at Avenue Auto Service, 5511 S. Pennsylvania Ave., on July 29. Police said the man was angry about being terminated from his employment there.
A 21-year-old Cudahy man was cited for physical abuse of a child on Aug. 1 after he attempted to discipline a 13-year-old girl who had broken curfew. The man also was charged with possession of cocaine after police found 3.5 grams of crack cocaine in his pants pocket.
A 35-year-old Greendale woman was cited for drunken driving after her van struck two parked vehicles in the 3600 block of East Hammond Avenue on July 28. Her blood-alcohol content was 0.24.
A 34-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for drunken driving, speeding and driving without a valid motorcycle driver's license in the 3700 block of East Layton Avenue on Aug. 2. His blood-alcohol content was 0.13.
