Soulstice Theatre stages "Children of a Lesser God"
The Soulstice Theatre presents its play, "Children of a Lesser God," which will be performed Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. May 7 to 16.
All performances will take place in the Keith Tamsett Studio Theatre at the Marian Center for Non-Profits, located at 3195 S. Superior Street.
The play details the romance and stormy marriage of Sarah Norman, a sensitive and spirited young deaf woman, and James Leeds, an idealistic new teacher at the school for the deaf where she works. James' desire to help Sarah lead a less isolated life by teaching her how to speak and read lips is met with stubborn resistance, leading to unyielding conflict in their relationship.
A percentage of the play's box office earnings will be donated to the Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in West Allis.
