Police Report: Feb. 20

Cash totaling $195 was reported taken from a residence in the 4500 block of South Nicholson Avenue about 4 p.m. Feb. 17. There were no signs of forced entry.


A man described in his 20s and weighing about 150 pounds stole several items from Pick 'n Save, 5851 S. Packard Ave., about 8:20 p.m. Feb. 12.


A 38-year-old Franklin man was arrested for domestic violence and several other charges after repeatedly striking his wife at their residence about 3 a.m. Feb. 12. Before police arrived, the man left, but returned to the residence and threatened to burn the house down. He then left again, and when police spotted his vehicle, the man sped away. Police chased the man into Brookfield, where he was finally arrested after his vehicle ran out of gas. During the chase the man drove at speeds up to 120 mph on the freeway.


A 25-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and battery to law enforcement officers after she spit in an officer's face who was trying to question her in the 2300 block of East Layton Avenue about 3:30 a.m. Feb. 17. Police found 0.8 grams of marijuana in her possession.



Several lights were reported smashed on the Arctic Avenue foot bridge in the 3700 block of East Bombay Avenue on Feb. 12.



Cash and sunglasses were taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 2400 block of 14th Avenue about 12:50 a.m. Feb. 10.

Tools were reported taken from a vehicle in the 2400 block of Cleveland Place about 10:15 a.m. Feb. 11.

Cash was reported taken from a vehicle in the 200 block of Fairview Avenue about 7 a.m. Feb. 14.

A bicycle was reported taken from a yard in the 400 block of Marquette Avenue about 3:40 p.m. Feb. 14.

A license plate was reported taken from a vehicle in the 2000 block of 10th Avenue about 5 p.m. Feb. 15.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested for retail theft for trying to steal three bottles of alcohol at Pick 'n Save, 2931 S. Chicago Ave., about 8:30 p.m. Feb. 15.

A GPS unit was reported taken from a vehicle in the 2400 block of Cleveland Place about 5:15 p.m. Feb. 16.


A window was smashed at Blakewood Elementary School, 3501 Blakewood Ave., sometime between Feb. 11 and Feb. 13.


A 43-year-old South Milwaukee woman was arrested for domestic violence against a 42-year-old South Milwaukee man about 7:30 p.m. Feb. 12.
