Would You Be Okay If Principals, Superintendents, or Teachers Carried Guns in School?
I was involved this weekend with a private discussion with one of my Facebook friends about whether the mass shooting Friday would have helped avert, minimized or prevent even just one tragedy like the Sandy Hook had the Principal or some select teachers were carrying firearms in school.
Cudahy Info and Rumors
So it is that time again that we find ourselves with a City that just doesn’t want to get information to the public! It makes me think that underhanded things happen and are happening. This leads us to have to fish for information and lets rumors fly. Well you know I will air them out and let things fall where they may. Flush them out and bring light to them in a city so bent on keep people in the dark which keeps the rumor mill working overtime.

Updated Guest Blog by Concerned Cudahy Citizen - Cudahy's Use of Act 10
While act 10 was set forth as a tool for local school districts to control costs, here in Cudahy it is being used as a hammer to "get" people the administration does not like, to fund their "pet" projects, and get ready to come to the taxpayers in a "poor is us" state for a referendum in November. Is Act 10 really working in Cudahy, let's examine.
Why Don't Cudahy School Board Members Have Email Addresses??
Here is a question that has perplexed me, angered me, and simply made me question the thought process and wisdom of our School Superintendent and School Board members in regards to the intent NOT to allow Taxpayers to interact with the School Board members in easily used email!

Teachers and Teaching
I personally don’t know any bad teachers. I was lucky when I was a student growing up to have teachers who engaged and cared about me and the other students. Even my third grade teacher in MPS who told me that left-handed people were not as smart and at a disadvantage in life. She made me switch from being left handed to right-handed.

Guest Blog by Zach Wisniewski - South Milwaukee School District Budget Cuts
Having taken a look at the budget cuts proposed by South Milwaukee School district administration (and presumably approved by the school board), what I don't see in the proposed cuts is a line item noting that administrators will take a pay cut; why is that? I'd also like to know why members of the school board aren't offering to cut their own pay to help defray in some small way some of the budget cuts. Why are students, teachers, and parents being asked to sacrifice while the district's administrators and elected official are unwilling to make the same sacrifices?
