WASHINGTON (Reuters) - An experimental AIDS vaccine made from two failed products has protected people for the first time, reducing the rate of infection by about 30 percent, researchers said on Thursday.

St. Francis Brewery plans expansion to neighboring building
St. Francis Brewery, the only brew pub in the southern half of Milwaukee County, plans to expand into a neighboring building--including the addition of more brewing capacity to sell its beers at liquor stores, and other restaurants and taverns.
The brew pub opened in April 2009 in a new 7,200-square-foot building at 3825 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., north of E. Howard Ave., in St. Francis.
Former Catholic school in St. Francis being converted to apartments
Work is to begin this fall on converting a former Catholic school in St. Francis into 68 apartments for seniors.
The former school of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 3635 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., will house 22 apartments, with another 46 units to be built within an addition that will extend into the parish parking lot, said Novi, Mich., developer Doug Stratton.
