Attached is a new guide from www.OnGuardOnLine.gov.  Chatting with Kids About Being Online is a booklet that provides practical tips to help parents (teachers, social workers etc) help kids navigate the online world.

You may be concerned that your kids could find pornography, violence, or hate speech online.  You can reduce these risks by talking to your kids about how they communicate—online and off— and encouraging them to engage in conduct they can be proud of.  This guide covers what you need to know, where to go for more information, and issues to raise with kids about living their lives online.

This 53-page booklet was written with input from some of the leading experts in the online safety world.  It covers a variety of topics, including:  Social networking, Sexting, Cyberbullying, Mobile phones, protecting your family's computer and Parental controls.
