Graffiti and Broken Handrail on the bridge over by Delaware and Edgerton
When working with multiple entities like the City, County, and MMSD, it is so easy to pass the buck, but in the end someone has to step up and do something.
On May 21st of 2009 I contacted Cudahy Police Sergeant Blunt on what to do about some graffiti and broken handrail fence on the bridge over by
As you follow along the chain of emails, you will see that I do re-contact the city and MMSD about the problem.
Here in March of 2010 we still have the graffiti and the broken handrail fence.
I have pictures at the bottom and you can see from the pictures the handrail fence is snapped off and is a safety hazard.
Some questions to keep in mind:
Does the city/MMSD have to adhere to any graffiti removal policy as far as time is concerned? (30 days comes to mind but not sure)
Would the city be concerned of the safety hazard the handrail fence posses?
Don’t we want to cleanup

Randy,
Regarding this problem, I was told by the head of DPW that this now falls under the jurisdiction of the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District. I will follow up with them.
As always, do not ever hesitate to contact me if you need something.
Respectfully,
Chris Blunt

Butch,
I’m not sure if this is your department/responsibility. If not, could you forward it to the proper department? Thanks.

Since you seem to be the municipal contact, I am forwarding this e-mail from our alderman regarding a fence along the Edgerton channel. I was informed that the fence belongs to MMSD. Not sure when it happened or how. Maybe you're already aware of it.

Randy,
I'm not familar with guard rail or graffiti issue but will tell you I have learned alot about the Edgerton Channel. I have worked with MMSD on the issue of flooding near
I very glad to report after working with MMSD, Edgerton Channel will be cleared of cat tails each winter as part of MMSD watercourse maintence contract.
On to your question, simply put MMSD will not do anything to the bridge itself. They are responsible for water ways only. Trusted me, I have done my homework on this.
Responsiblity for this is between the City of
Hope that helps
