Cudahy, school, Safety

I have a previous engagement I need to be at so I wish I could attend.  I would like someone to ask about the new high school entrance and how Lake Dr. will be affected by this, since vehicles can enter from the north and south and when exiting the vehicles can go either left or right.  If my thinking is correct there will be a backup somewhere.  There will be several situations, kids getting out of the car on Lake Dr. because it takes so long to turn in, people that commute to work, etc.  How is this going to be handled in the morning and in the afternoon?

From the Blockwatch meeting – Sergeant Chris Blunt said there will be congestion and the police WILL be enforcing the area.  It is a work in progress and will be watched and evaluated.

Throughout my travels overnight, I noticed the left turn lane exiting from the north lot of the high school is blocked off by cones.  My interpretation is they will not allow vehicles to turn left from the left onto S. Lake Drive, which was a major concern of mine.  The other potential problem, in terms of congestion, could be left turns into the new area from southbound Lake Drive traffic.  We’ll see.  As I said last night, we’ll be out there monitoring it.

Thanks for the question.  As always, let me know if you need anything.
