The first day of summer doesn’t officially start until 5:51 Saturday morning, Milwaukee time. But you get the point. Summer goes so doggone fast. And then it’s 14 months of winter. Enjoy while the summer lasts.
It's Friday night. Time to unwind with our regular Friday night feature on This Just In.
The weekend has finally arrived.
The sun has set.
The evening sky has erupted.
Let's smooth our way into Saturday and Sunday.
Tonight, we celebrate the first week of summer with a Friday night music feature that I believe we’ve only done once before…a full concert.
Last year Dave Koz and fellow saxophone friends Gerald Albright, Richard Elliot and Mindi Abair recorded an album of new arrangements of classic songs from legendary horn bands.
The album turned into a tour and a Grammy nomination and another tour this year. We’ve featured the band in previous Goodnight blogs, but now you get to see them in a full concert, recorded live at the Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival in Jakarta, Indonesia, on March 1, 2014.
Enjoy this extended Friday night music feature and some super old music performed in precision-like fashion by terrific musicians.
Have a great weekend, and an even greater SUMMER!!!
