Jennifer is a one in a million stay-at-home mom. (More like one OF a million stay at home moms!) She graduated from a liberal arts college but there is nothing liberal OR artsy about her. Poles at the Polls

In the February primary election, Franklin voters in Aldermanic District 3 cast 280 ballots.  (If you’re not part of District 3 like we are you might not know that our polling place is the Polish Center of Wisconsin.)

For the general election today, we won’t have statistics of how many votes were cast until the end of the evening.  But it’s a safe assumption that MORE voters will step through the doors today than they did on February 18th.

Kevin & I went to vote this morning around 9:30.  While generally past the normal breakfast hour, we still hadn’t consumed our first meal of the day.  Trust me, if volunteers of the Center had a table set up, we would have GLADLY purchased a snack of...

 


 

On Paczki Day, March 4th of this year, The Polish Center sold these delicacies by the dozen for $10.75 and for a nominal charge of $5.00 they would even deliver!  You could also join others in a paczek and cup of coffee for just $3.00 between 7:00 and 11:30 am.  Here’s a group enjoying from 2012 via their Facebook page:

 

 

 

 

With all due respect to my fellow countrymen, I think there was a great opportunity missed today.  Perhaps for the next election, The Polish Center of Wisconsin will consider my suggestion.  You never know, it might even INCREASE voter turnout!
