New Kid's View

Family lured Jerrianne and her husband to South Milwaukee in 2002 from Southern California where she worked as, first, a journalist, then, as a court information officer. She now stays busy with media-relations consulting, playing with her three grandchildren (part of the lure), writing, discovering her new environs, and hoping her garden will produce before the first fall frost.

SM's GMPs Play in the New Year

New Year's Eve, The Domes, Garlic Mustard Pickers, Mark Mulvaney, Suds-e-Nuts

New Year's Eve revelers tapped toes and turned a few twirls to Celtic tunes played by South Milwaukee's own Garlic Mustard Pickers at Milwaukee County Parks' The Domes party Monday night.

Here they are in action:

In addition to great music, The Domes party goers enjoyed a magic act, a juggler, face painting, balloon sculptures, paper-plate party-hat making, tasty food, spectacular light shows and photo booth pictures in addition to the regular fair of arid and rain forest flora envirnements.

A hit was the chocolate fountain for marshmallow and fresh strawberry dipping. That was provided by Mark Mulvaney. Chocolate fountains aren't Mulvaney's only interest. The Delafield resident is launching a laundry-soap business called Suds-e-nuts, an environmentally friendly laundry system that promises to "reduce our collective carbon footprint by bringing awareness to each individuals impact on Mother Earth." Watch for Mulvaney's website, www.suds-e-nuts.com.
