Scranton Democrat Mayor Chris Doherty - Public Workers Now Paid Minimum Wage
All employees Friday in the city of Scranton, Pa., have been paid much smaller than usual to the state´s minimum wage, $7.25 an hour.
Financial troubles within two decades and much losing population since the end of World War II led to the budget battle.
It is stated to fill a nearly $17 million budget gap on some taxes or borrow money from bank in meantime. With any choices, there must have been need a clear path forward for money coming or outgoing in the city.
