In Remembrance of Someone Special - March 18, 2008
This goes out to a former friend and his family. (I did email him this on the date)
I just wanted to say I am sorry and that not just on this day do I think about your mom, but many days! It doesn’t matter the status of our friendship when it comes to issues like this as they transcend friendship.
We will always have a connection, memories, events, and situations of each other and our family members.
I cherish many times talking or being with your mom. Whether it was going up to the craft fair, the times I stayed over at your house and she dished us up mint chocolate chip or neapolitan ice cream while we watch either Kung-Fu theater or Shock Theater, the time I drove with her and you went with your dad as we looked for your sister when she ran away, the few times I went with you and her to Grandma, the time I was hiding at your house from my mom, or the time I just came over to play with legos knowing you weren’t home and just needed a safe place to be. The day she was teaching Kathryn a lesson about smoking only to find out she went back to smoking and the irony of it.
I have so many memories of just little chitchat with her or seeing her at a Brewer game.
It is hard to believe it has been four years. I do miss her and on this day and every day, you have my sympathy for your loss. I am very sorry!
