Because of her leave, Blanchard had been receiving monthly benefit payments from health insurer Manulife. They suddenly stopped, and the health insurer cited three photos of Blanchard looking happy, that they had found on Facebook, as the reason.
The snaps, taken on holiday, at her birthday party and at a Chippendales bar show, were not the only reason to stop the benefits, according to Manulife. Blanchard's lawyer argues that small vacations and fun outings are on doctor's orders.
