The South Shore has Fourth of July events times four again this year. Bay View, Cudahy, St. Francis and South Milwaukee will celebrate with various events that include high-profile parades early on July 4 and, of course, traditional fireworks once the sun goes down.

Date: Saturday, July 4
Noon parade beginning at Packard and Grange; flag-raising ceremony, dance teams, musical acts, children's games, magic shows and other activities; fireworks in the park at 9:20 p.m.; Sheridan Park, 4800 S. Lake Drive, Cudahy.
St. Francis Fourth of July Celebration
Date: Saturday, July 4
Bikes judging, 9:45 a.m.; parade kick-off, 10 a.m.; ice cream at park, 10:45 to 11:15 a.m.; opening ceremony, 11:15 a.m.; childrens games, pony rides, petting zoo, inflatables, talent show; fireworks at 9:15 p.m.; Milton Vretenar Municipal Park, 4224 S. Kirkwood Ave., St. Francis.

Fun on the FourthThe St. Francis Independence Day celebration begins at 9:45 a.m. with a judging of the bikes, trikes and wagons by Miss St. Francis. The parade is at 10 a.m. and heads south on Barland Avenue, east on Denton Avenue, south on Lunham Avenue and east to Milton Vretenar Municipal Park, 4224 S. Kirkwood St. Events at the park include a flag-raising ceremony at 11:15 a.m., pony rides and a petting zoo from noon to 6 p.m., a horseshoe tournament at 12:30 p.m. and music from 6 to 9:15 p.m., when the fireworks begin.
